All About Boys Blog Hop

Welcome to All About Boys Blog Hop day 1 of 2! I am so glad you joined us today! Boy themed projects seem harder to come by so that is why we have dedicated TWO whole days to nothing but boys! Hopefully you are able to walk away with some fabulous ideas in mind.

You should have arrived here from Sue's blog, if not feel free to start from the beginning of the hop.

I created a door hanger and I am not sure who to give it to yet, so later on I will be adding a name on it.

Robotz (robot cut at 4 inches)

Ink: Peeled Paint Tim Holtz Distress Ink by Ranger

Paper: Little Boys and their Toys by the Paper Studio

*I cut out the door hanger using chipboard first

Cricut Circle Sisters Fall Blog Hop

I hope that you have enjoyed the hop so far. You should have come from Carolyn's blog, if not you can start from the beginning over at Kristen's blog, the host.

I can't wait for Fall to come because it's too HOT here in Houston! My favorite thing about the Fall season is when the leaves start to change colors.

I created this door hanger for my mentor teacher to put in her classroom. I always like making things for my mentors because they are helping me so much by allowing me to be in their classroom and teach their students. Yesterday ended my 1st week of student teaching and I am happy to say that I survived! I love my 3rd grade classroom, but the hardest thing so far is trying to learn 50 names!
 Close ups

I used 3 layers of chipboard for each leaf cut at 4 3/4 inches each.
I used 3 layers because I wanted it to be thick.
I painted the sides mixing Metallic Champagne paint by Folk Art and Nutmeg Brown paint by Apple Barrel together.

I used Mod Podge to seal the door hanger and I love the glossy look.

Materials used:
Cartridges: Designer's Calendar (leaves cut at 4 3/4 inches)
Storybook (letters cut at 2 1/4 inches)

Paper: All Seasons II  and Four Seasons by the Paper Studio

Ink: Walnut Stain Tim Holtz Distress Ink by Ranger

Gifts

As you can see, I am posting some projects that I have completed in the past months. My goal is to start posting more frequently because I love to share my creations.

I made a few things for my mentor teacher and my SWAT person (a classmate who we gave gifts/notes to encourage them throughout the semester. On the last day of class, we revealed ourselves.)

For my mentor teacher...
*I bought the apples at Michaels and glued them on ribbon

SWAT person...
I used Mod Podge on every single gift :)
