Butterfly

Yesterday was my first day as a substitute teacher again. I am finally working at the school district that I attended school from PreK to 12th grade. It's an awesome feeling!!! Today I get to sub in the elementary school that I attended, so I am SUPER excited!!! I haven't stepped foot in that school since I left the 4th grade.

I hope that I can meet up with some of my elementary teachers so that I can let them know that they are the reason why I wanted to be a teacher too. It's funny that I can only remember the names of my elementary teachers. I can't wait!!!

Well here is my creation :)

Small Talk

Good Morning!!! Today I created these small cards using one of my new favorite stamp sets called Small Talk by My Creative Time. This is the first stamp set that I purchased from Emma. I love how fast and easy it is to make these cards with her stamps. It makes whatever image you add pop.
Close Ups
I didn't have a big enough clear block, so I used a CD case.
I can't wait to buy a big enough clear block because I want the border to look a lot better.
Materials Used
Cartridges: Designer's Calendar (heart cut at 2 inches)
Doodlecharms (clover cut at 2 1/4 inches)

Hello Kitty Love

Today Erica asked us to create Valentine die cuts. I love Valentine’s Day because of all of the pinks and reds! I also enjoyed giving out cards when I was in school and making my own for my parents. I can’t wait to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my future students :)
Since I love Hello Kitty, I decided to make myself a Valentine’s Day Home Décor.
Materials Used
Cartridges: Hello Kitty Font (HK cut at 4 1/2 inches)
Create a Critter (Love cut at 3 inches)

Mini Tutorial
I first cut out 2 Hello Kitties (I clicked on the Flip button for the 2nd Hello Kitty)
I then cut 2 HK using chipboard and glued it behind the 1st cut.
I then cut out some more chipboard to make the stand and used my scoreboard to make it easier for me to fold it.
I glued these behind each HK to make them stand up.

“IT’S ALL ABOUT CATITUDE” BLOG HOP

Welcome to the “It’s All About Catitude”  Blog Hop in honor of National Cat Day, October 29, 2011, and our furry little felines hosted by Barbara. The theme of the hop is “It’s All About Catitude” and 18 crafty ladies have come together to create some purrfectly adorable projects in honor of National Cat Day and our furry little felines.

If you came here from Vicki, then you are in the right place. But if you happened to end up here, then you will want to go back to the beginning at Barbara’s and hop along with us as you don’t want to miss any of the meowy purrfectly frisky projects. The hop will run for two days, October 28, 2011 and October 29, 2011. So please be sure to check back each day to see what new project each of our talented ladies has in store for you.

I created this card using the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge. I just love Hello Kitty and I was never a fan of real cats until I got one of my own.
Materials Used
Cartridges: Hello Kitty Greetings (HK cut at 3 inches)
Mini Monsters (broom cut at 3 inches)

Paper: Halloween by We R Memory Keepers

Stamp: Spooky Puns by My Pink Stamper

Ink: Tim Holtz Dusty Concord and Walnut Stain Distress Ink by Ranger

Other: Glossy accents by Ranger (used it on the moon and tree)

Unfortunately, I only had my kitty for about 6 months because I moved back home with my parents and my mom is not a fan of cats. I found her a great home to live at.

She was best friends with my chihuahua.
Whoever said that cats and dogs can't be friends?
Pretty much all my babies ever did was sleep :)

A friend of mine did catch me and them sleeping together one time when I came home tired from working in the Preschool. I didn't even know that the picture was taken until one day I was looking through the pictures in my cell and found it. I love this picture, but I miss my kitty :( You can tell how tired I was because I didn't make it to my pillow.

Thanks for stopping by! Your next stop is Wendy.
