I had to figure out how to make the lady pop-out without folding her in half. It took me a while to figure it out, but I think that this was the right way to put her on the card. I thought that the booklet was going to come with instructions, but it doesn't.
On Saturday my line sisters and I reunited and went out to dinner. Most of us graduated already, so we never get to see each other. It was a night full of surprises! One of my sisters got engaged a few hours before dinner and one of them found out that she was pregnant 4 days ago. I felt very lucky to be able to be one of the first ones to hear the news. I created this card for my sorority sister who is pregnant. I used our sorority colors (pink & purple), since she doesn't know if it's going to be a boy or girl yet.
This is the front. I used pop dots for the sentiment.
The Inside
Another view of the inside.
This is how it looks when it's closed.
Mini Tutorial
Once I glued the lady on the shadow, I added tacky tape (red tape) on the flaps that are folded.
I also cut out pieces of the cardstock that I used and glued it on the flaps because I wanted it to blend in with the card.
I then removed the backing to the red tape and taped it down.
Materials Used
Cartridges: Everyday Pop-Up Cards (lady cut at 4 3/4 inches)
Lacy Labels (label on the front cut at 4 inches and the one inside the card at 3 inches)
Holiday Cakes (sentiment cut at 1 inch)
Stamp: Sweet Baby by My Pink Stamper
Ink: Dusty Concord Distress Ink by Ranger
Paper: Summer Song by My Mind's Eye
Cute card! Love the way you covered the pop-up tabs with the matching patterned paper.
