I enjoyed showing my mom how to use the Cricut Cake and I can’t wait to decorate some more cakes with her. My mother was the one who did most of the work because she baked the cake and rolled the fondant onto the mat.
I always complained about having to change the paper on my mat when I had to use more than one color or make more cuts, but after seeing how much work it takes to roll the fondant…I need to stop complaining.
My mom purchased the fondant at Michaels and it is called Wilton Rolled Fondant. We didn’t want to make our own fondant because we first wanted to practice using the Cricut. We thought that we were going to have to practice a few times, but all we had to do was make one cut and we weren't scared to start cutting some more.
Our first cut
I helped my mother decorate this cake for one of her friend's daughter's baby shower. So far everyone who I know is pregnant is going to have a boy. Pretty crazy!

This is absolutely fabulous...why did I not realize you can use all cartridges in the cricut cake. If you can use the cake cartridges in every cricut why not the regular carts in the cricut cake...duh. Learning something new every day. :) TFS
