Fall Favorites Blog Hop ~ Fall Wreath

Happy Saturday everyone! Welcome to the Fall Favorites Blog Hop hosted by Erica, My Cricut Craft Room.

Fall is not my favorite season, but what I do love about Fall is seeing the leaves change color and the cooler weather. Here in Houston I don't really see the leaves change, so I decided to create a wreath for my room to remind me of all the beautiful leaves that are changing colors out there.

You should have come from Erica's blog, if not feel free to start from the beginning. Enjoy the hop!
I used dimensions to pop up the leaves, acorns, and pumpkins.

Materials Used
Cartridges: Speaking of Fall (leaves cut at 5 3/4 inches, pumpkins cut at 2 1/4 inches)
B is for Boy (acorn cut at 1 1/2 inches)
Sesame Street Font (circle cut at fit to page)

Inks: Tim Holtz Walnut Stain, Spiced Marmalade, Antique Linen, Worn Lipstick, and Peeled Paint  distress ink by Ranger

Mini Tutorial
I first cut this circle using the Sesame Street Font cartridge with chipboard.
This is where all of my leaves were glued on.

I then used the Speaking of Fall cartridge to cut out all of the leaves.
I used distress inks to add different shades of colors to the leaves.

Thanks for stopping by and your next stop is Samantha.

  20. Love the simplicity yet wonderful wreath you made. The colorrs and the Acorn make it a standout. Being in Collierville, Tn (near Memphis) the leaves do give gorgeous colors here. Not a fan of the wet cold we get beginning in late Oct. mid Nov... This would be a wonderful wreath to have in my craft room to help remember the beauty of fall as it goes away. Thanks for sharing!!

  61. This is what I love about fall the changing of the leaves colors and the cooler brisk weather
it is the start of the renewing process for us also as humans to shed the old things like broken branches and have time for new growth as we move into spring. The colors of fall are browns, tans, orange, dark greens & maroon. Thank you for sharing I love your project it reminds me of the shedding the old making room for the new. I am a new follower.
